My name is Filip Maertens, born in 1978 in a small town called Tielt (Belgium).

I’m a tech founder and product developer. These two words mean that I have an outspoken passion for technology and coding, while being an independent-minded person.

I like all things technology, but have a sweet spot for Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Bitcoin, Mobile and Cryptography.

With over 15 years of experience, I am often consulted as a cyber-security expert. I have worked in the military, intelligence, critical infrastructure and banking industry; both in engineering and project management roles. If you believe I can be of any help, drop me a line.

I have a soft spot for dogs and everyone that has one hell of a comeback story.

I go postnuclear on ignorant people, suffer from Dunning–Kruger, radiate negativity, perform injustice, people lacking the intelligence to translate hyperbole speech, or manipulative liars.

In my free time, I’m tinkering with sensors, hardware, and machine learning. My hobbies are Crossfit and mountaineering.
